Most people just see corn. I’m always surprised that people are unaware that there is are more then just yellow and white corn. And just like with people, I have my favorites. Peaches and Cream. Yep, that’s a thing. It’s a sweet mixed corn, with the yellow and white on each cob. P&C has a great flavor off the grill, boiled, baked, just about any damned way I’ve tried it.

This is going to be hard to believe, but we’re not using bacon this time. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of everyone’s favorite piece of fat coming. Instead we’re going to use bacon’s other cousin BUTTER. Seriously, if you need a fat, those are the two go-to’s.

First things first, melted butter helps. Use the microwave, its not your enemy. Dammit, put it in a bowl next time. Ok, take some of that liquid gold, and spread it on a square of aluminum foil. Roll that ear in it, and then I like to coat it in something like smoked paprika or chili powder. I’m going with the paprika today. Make sure that stuff gets all the way around the ear, not just on one side. Now’s not the time to be getting lazy on me, not when there’s seasonings involved.

Normally, at 350, it doesn’t take that long to bake in the oven. But, since I was cooking it at the same time as the tenderloin, you remember the tenderloin, it took a little longer. But worth every great smelling, teasing my ass, minute.

A Work in Progress

With the whole ensemble together, the only thing I could say was Hell Yeah

The corn has a big fan. It seems that Hagrid, The Dog is a big fan of the cobs. Of course, the pup will eat just about anything.
